Love DIYs that require no more effort than a bit of draping. Both Shini from Park & Cube and one of the girls from Anywho have done a fantastic job of using a mens long sleeved shirt to DIY a great skirt. Love the little detail of the twisted arms, takes the edge of it and reduces how much it looks like a shirt tied around your waist. Doing up the bottom button of the shirt (the skirts hem) so that one side of the skirt hangs down further at the front also makes it more interesting. There is a tutorial on Monoxious here for making an actual skirt in a similar way. I rather like the idea of simply draping and tying (probably because this requires the smallest time investment!). Also good because you don't do any lasting damage to your boyfriends fabourite checked shirt!
